Privacy Policy

The birthdays, anniversaries and notes you add are stored on your own device by default. The app works fully offline, and no celebration data leaves your phone unless you switch on cloud backup yourself.

Celebration data you add: names, dates, relationship labels, notes and optional photos for the birthdays and anniversaries you want to be reminded about — held on your device, and in the cloud only with your consent.

Account data: if you create an account, the email address used to sign in, and whether that email has been verified.

Messages you send us: the name, email address and message submitted through the contact form on this website.

Basic technical data: app and device information needed to deliver notifications and diagnose problems.

Cloud backup is off until you turn it on. When you give explicit consent in the app, Jubiday keeps a single backup record for your account so your lists can be restored later. We store one backup per account, together with the time it was last updated.

You can withdraw consent at any time — in the app, or from your dashboard on this website. New backups stop immediately, and you can delete the stored backup separately from your account whenever you want.

Email verification is required before your account can be used with cloud backup. If you change or re-install your phone, install Jubiday again from the same store account, sign in with the same verified email address, and the app can restore your last known backup onto the device.

Restores only ever happen inside the app. This website shows whether a backup exists and when it was last updated — never the names, dates, notes or any other backup contents.

We use your information to store your celebrations, send the reminders you asked for, answer your support messages, keep the service secure and improve how Jubiday works. We do not sell your personal information.

When you add a Jubiday by voice, your device's speech recognition converts what you say into text so the entry can be created. We store the resulting entry, not a recording library of your voice.

Permissions such as notifications, microphone or contacts are only requested when you use the related feature, and you can withdraw them in your device settings at any time. Turning a permission off may disable that feature.

Traffic between the app, this website and our backend uses encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Access requires a verified account sign-in, and database row-level access rules restrict every backup and profile record to the account that owns it, so one user cannot reach another user's data. Administrative keys are used only on our servers and never shipped to the app or the website.

These are the controls we actually operate. No internet service can claim to be perfectly or completely secure, so we describe our safeguards rather than promising absolute security.

We rely on trusted providers for hosting, database storage, app distribution and transactional email. They process data on our instructions and only as needed to run the service.

Your cloud backup is kept while your account is active and backup consent is on. You can delete just the backup, or your whole account and all data linked to it, from the account & data deletion page or from inside the app. Contact-form messages are kept while we handle your request and for a reasonable period afterwards.

Jubiday is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children who require parental consent under local law.

If our practices change, we will update this page and revise the date above. Significant changes will be highlighted in the app or on this website.
